About the Role

The Carriages of Marietta, Georgia is growing our team and seeking a fun, creative, enthusiastic, and dedicated Life Enrichment Assistant to help create and direct activities for our seniors. Our Life Enrichment program provides opportunities for residents to achieve social and educational goals and participate in the life of their community.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and leading daily life enrichment activities and events.
  • Encourage resident participation in social, recreational, and educational programs.
  • Support group and one-on-one activities that promote engagement and well-being.
  • Help prepare materials, set up activity spaces, and clean up after programs.
  • Observe residents during activities and report any concerns or changes to appropriate staff.
  • Promote a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment for all residents.
  • Assist with special events, holiday celebrations, and community outings as needed.
  • Maintain activity supplies and assist with organizing program areas.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • At least 1 year of experience.
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, and/or overtime.
  • Reliable attendance and work schedule.
  • Organize and utilize time appropriately toward accomplishing assigned tasks.
  • Require minimal supervision.
  • Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain required professional fitness certifications such as SFA, ACE, AFAA, and CPR/First Aid through home study and/or workshop attendance.
  • Enjoy working with seniors, have sensitivity to their needs, and be able to teach and encourage them to learn and engage in programs.
  • A strong desire to help others and compassion for the elderly is a must.
  • Full criminal background check, fingerprinting, physical, drug test, and TB testing are mandatory.
