Life Enrichment Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a full-time Life Enrichment Assistant for the assisted living residents at our beautiful Raybrook Campus. This role supports the Vibrant Living wellness model, ensuring equal opportunity for social engagement, intellectual discovery, physical wellness, spiritual fulfillment, and emotional well-being programming each week.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Life Enrichment Coordinator with planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation of engaging life enrichment programs and special events that support residents' physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual well-being.
• Set up, rearrange, and clean activity spaces by moving tables, chairs, equipment, and supplies to support programs and events.
• Support preparation of calendars, flyers, program materials, and other communication tools to promote upcoming activities.
• Maintain accurate attendance records, program documentation, and other required tracking information.
• Provide a welcoming and positive presence while engaging residents in meaningful conversations, programs, and experiences that promote connection, purpose, and quality of life.
• Assist residents with participation in daily programs, including providing mobility support, escorting residents to and from events, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
• Collaborate with Life Enrichment team members, volunteers, and other departments to support a vibrant resident experience.
• Run sound for various concerts and entertainment groups using technology.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of event planning or activity planning experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all levels of staff, residents, and families—requires courtesy, tact, respect, and patience in all situations.
• Experience working with older adults.
• Ability to perform moderate physical work throughout the day, including:
  • Setting up, rearranging, and moving tables, chairs, and other furniture for programs, events, and activities.
  • Assisting residents during community outings, including walking extended distances, assisting with boarding and exiting vehicles, and providing mobility support as needed.

Schedule

Full-time, 36 hours per week. Majority day shift hours during the week with some evening shifts required.
