Life Enrichment Assistant

About the role

The Life Enrichment Assistant at NHC Dickson is responsible for providing recreational activities that meet the diverse needs of patients, fostering an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment.

Responsibilities

• Respectfully support and assist the Recreation Director in assessing patient interests and needs.
• Provide therapeutic programs tailored to individual patient requirements.
• Organize activities that address physical, social, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients.
• Participate in developing and implementing individualized 1-to-1 programs.
• Enhance community relations and maintain positive relationships with partners, families, and the broader community.
• Stay informed about NHC standards and adhere to the 20 Better Way Promises.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to work with elderly patients/residents.
• Willingness to learn new ideas and skills.
• A sense of humor and ability to handle success and failure with grace.
• Patient, organized, assertive, and conscientious personality.
• Professional appearance and flexibility in working hours.

Schedule

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Weekend on-call responsibilities may be required.
