About the role

The Landing of Long Cove is a senior living community dedicated to providing compassionate and high-quality care. We seek a Life Engagement Director who will develop, implement, and oversee programs to enhance the quality of life for our residents.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement diverse activities promoting physical, social, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual well-being of the residents
  • Foster positive relationships with residents through regular interaction and engagement
  • Plan and execute events that bring residents and their families together for social engagement
  • Manage the Life Engagement budget effectively, ensuring resources are used efficiently
  • Encourage resident participation and gather feedback to tailor activities to their preferences and needs
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure a holistic resident care and engagement approach
  • Design and implement a comprehensive life engagement program
  • Ensure all activities align with the core values of the organization
  • Lead and mentor the Life Engagement team, providing guidance and support to ensure quality programming

Requirements

  • College degree preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Activity Director Certified in Indiana
  • Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
  • Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to innovate and adapt
  • Work independently, maintain confidentiality and professionalism, and be a positive leader
  • Demonstrate practical interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills
  • Maintain good working relationships with residents and co-workers
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)
  • Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned
