Life and Health Insurance Agent

Overview

Instant Teams is hiring Licensed Life and Health Insurance Agents for the annual enrollment season. The role involves providing customer service assistance to Medicare and Pre-Medicare eligible retirees, helping them select appropriate health plans. The position allows working from home. Key responsibilities include selling and enrolling retirees into insurance products, conducting needs analysis, and educating on Medicare plans.

Day in the Life

• Provide a world-class customer experience at all touchpoints
• Maintain an active life and health insurance license, or be able to obtain one before starting
• Pass AHIP and annual carrier certifications
• Understand Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, prescription drug plans, and DSNP plans
• Identify retiree needs using a needs analysis-based selling approach
• Enroll retirees compliantly and efficiently
• Handle inbound and outbound calls, schedule appointments, and follow up with prospects
• Respond to voicemails and chats in a timely manner
• Deliver a consistently positive customer experience
• Adhere to call center performance metrics

Must Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active life and health insurance license in good standing
• Two years of experience in consultative sales or customer service, preferably in a call center or high-volume environment
• Aptitude for understanding Medicare insurance and complying with CMS regulations
• No contracting restrictions related to carriers or previous employers

Position Details

• Pay: Training: $19/hour (~6 weeks), Post-Training: $23/hour + commission
• Schedule: Training: 8am - 4pm CST | Monday - Friday, Post-Training: Shifts between 8am - 10pm CST
• Equipment is provided
• Contract length: August 10th, 2026 - December 7th, 2026 (may offer year-round employment to high performers)
• Compliance & Eligibility: Background & Screenings: Background check and credit check required
• Work Environment: Remote role requires a private, dedicated workspace
