About the role

AWS is seeking a Network Deployment Engineer to build and manage Amazon Dedicated Cloud regions. This role involves scaling network systems, supporting large-scale enterprise networks, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Communicate project status and blockers to leadership and project management
• Perform device build and cabling validation activities
• Manage cabling vendor activities and perform quality assurance
• Support Network Engineering deployment activities during change management windows
• Participate in the migration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware
• Complete customer requests via Remedy trouble ticketing system
• Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues
• Deliver simple, sustainable, and repeatable solutions and processes
• Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflow
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles

Requirements

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Experience: 1+ years of technical work experience or Bachelor's degree in an advanced technical program
• Knowledge: Networking fundamentals, cabling best practices, data center infrastructure design, operations, or delivery
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent network implementation and troubleshooting skills, documented methodologies, autonomy, detail orientation, ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent diploma, or CCNA or equivalent level networking certification
• Experience: 2+ years of data center engineering or operations experience
