Licensing and Compliance Specialist

We are partnering with a well-established global commercial insurance organization seeking a Licensing & Compliance Specialist to join its Regulatory Compliance team. This role is focused on insurance company/entity licensing and regulatory compliance, supporting insurance and reinsurance entities across multiple domestic and international jurisdictions. The position offers broad exposure to regulatory filings, licensing, legal research, corporate governance matters, and cross-functional initiatives across the organization. Responsibilities Manage insurance and reinsurance company licenses and registrations, including initial applications, renewals, and ongoing maintenancePrepare and submit regulatory filings to state Departments of Insurance and other regulatory authoritiesTrack licensing requirements, renewal deadlines, regulatory submissions, fees, and related documentationSupport corporate amendment filings and director/officer regulatory requirementsAssist with insurance holding company filings and affiliate transaction approvalsConduct research on insurance laws, regulations, licensing requirements, and regulatory developmentsCommunicate directly with state insurance departments, regulators, outside counsel, and internal stakeholdersPartner cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Underwriting, Finance, and other business teamsSupport regulatory initiatives related to state expansion, new products, entity restructurings, and acquisitionsAssist with reinsurance-related regulatory matters and contract executionRespond to regulatory notices, bulletins, data calls, inquiries, and filing requestsHelp improve internal regulatory processes, workflows, tracking systems, and compliance proceduresSupport technology and process-improvement initiatives within the regulatory compliance function Qualifications 3+ years of experience in insurance licensing, regulatory compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related insurance functionStrong understanding of insurance regulation and licensing requirementsExperience with insurance company/entity licensing strongly preferredExperience managing multi-state licensing, renewals, or regulatory filingsExperience working with state Departments of Insurance or other regulatory authoritiesStrong legal and regulatory research skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneouslyAbility to work independently while collaborating across multiple departmentsBachelor’s degree preferred Preferred Experience Property & Casualty insuranceReinsuranceMultinational or commercial insurance environmentsCorporate amendment filingsInsurance holding company requirementsAffiliate transactionsDirector and officer regulatory filingsState expansion initiativesEntity restructurings or acquisitionsInternational insurance licensing or registrationsProcess improvement or compliance technology initiatives Apply Now
