About the Board

The Louisiana Board of Pharmacy regulates the profession and practice of pharmacy in the interest of the health, safety, and welfare of Louisiana citizens. The Board restricts entry into the practice of pharmacy to qualified individuals and monitors licensees to ensure compliance with governing laws and rules.

About the Role

Licensing Analysts ensure that applicants meet the minimum qualifications required for credentialing and assist existing credential holders with renewal, reinstatement, and maintenance of their credentials.

Requirements

  • Three years of experience in the issuance, maintenance, or reinstatement of licenses; OR
  • Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
  • A bachelor’s degree.

Experience Substitution: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university substitutes for one year of the six years of full-time work experience. Maximum substitution is 120 semester hours (four years).

Responsibilities

  • Answer questions about minimum qualifications for credentials and the application process by telephone and email.
  • Review applications and supporting documents to determine eligibility for credentials.
  • Explain deficiencies with applications.
  • Explain laws and regulations to credential holders and applicants.
  • Process applications for the renewal of credentials.
  • Update records (name, address, email, etc.).

Position Details

Appointment Type: Probational. This position participates in a Career Progression Group.
