LICENSED VOCATIONAL NURSE (SAFETY)

About the role

The Level of Care Registry at the Developmental Center seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide direct care, treatment, and developmental services under the direction of supervisory staff.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing interaction with individuals, personnel, and the general public.
• Potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens, and other conditions common to a clinical nursing environment.
• Maintain sufficient strength, agility, endurance, and sensory ability to perform duties.
• Lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Participate in individual containment, intervention, or restraint.
• Work extended hours and various shifts.
• Floated to all work areas within the facility as needed.

Requirements

• Pass the Licensed Vocational Nurse, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation examination.
• Eligible for telework.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a valid California LVN license.
