Licensed Vocational Nurse / Psychiatric Technician

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Psychiatric Technician (LPT) to provide medical and psychiatric care for facility residents in a rehabilitation center setting.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications, monitor for side effects, and follow Physician's Orders
• Assist in coordinating and overseeing residents' treatment, including admissions and referrals
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to meet residents' healthcare needs
• Maintain organized medical and psychiatric records and complete necessary documentation
• Support staff in addressing healthcare concerns and supervise Mental Health Workers
• Participate in in-service education
• Recognize symptoms of adverse reactions and consult with medical staff as needed
• Ensure compliance with licensing and accreditation standards
• Perform triage and assist with medical procedures

Requirements

• Valid California licensure as an LVN or LPT
• Minimum one year of mental health experience
• Clean background check
• Physical ability to perform tasks, with a health screening
