Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - PRN Day/Night

About the Role

At ContinueCARE Hospital, we take pride in the care we provide for patients with an average length of stay of 25 days in a variety of specialty programs. Our staff enjoy our small-hospital environment inside of a large acute care hospital.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the direct and indirect nursing care of all patients ranging in age from 18 years to geriatric.
• Responsible for the overall direction and supervision of all patient care during his/her shift.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skill to carry out the nursing process when providing care to patients.
• Satisfies the established standards of nursing practice.
• Supervises and delegates patient care tasks to CNAs and other patient care team members.
• Promotes teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments.
• As appropriate, takes into consideration the patient's age in the performance of any task.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LVN program
• Unrestricted LVN license
• BLS Certification
• Experience working in an acute care hospital required
