Responsibilities

• Assist Physician, RN and treatment team in delivering comprehensive patient care to all patients with emotional or psychiatric disorders
• Administer medication prescribed by physician

Requirements

• Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Psych Tech (LPT) license
• Current BLS for healthcare provider card required upon hire
• High School graduation or equivalent in education or experience
• Basic knowledge of detoxification assessment and treatment procedures
• Familiarity with the disease concept of addiction treatment
• Knowledge of 12-step treatment and of cognitive aspects of addictive disease treatment
• Ability to identify signs of withdrawal from major classes of abused substances and ability to apply this knowledge to the treatment of chemically dependent patients
• Therapeutic Options Training (TOT) to be obtained prior to providing direct patient care without a preceptor

Schedule

• 8-hr shifts | PER-DIEM AM, PM, and NOC shifts
• WEEKEND AVAILABILITY IS REQUIRED at 2 weekend days per pay period, such as every other weekend, or 1 weekend day per week
• Prefer available every weekend

$30 - $35/hr
