Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate patient care under the direction of a registered nurse or physician, actively contributing to patient assessments to ensure their ongoing safety, comfort, and well-being.
- Administer medications and treatments safely, while closely monitoring patients for any adverse reactions to ensure the highest standards of clinical safety.
- Triage and coordinate patient care by utilizing the nursing process to facilitate swift interventions, delegate routine clinic tasks, and collaborate with non-medical staff to optimize patient flow and satisfaction.
- Document patient care journeys accurately and in real-time, ensuring thorough records, reporting critical abnormal data immediately, and managing patient referrals to guarantee continuity of care.
- Educate patients and families on their specific disease treatment plans, holistic health needs, and post-discharge self-care to empower them in their recovery journey.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. (Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.)
Qualifications
- LVN License
- Experience is preferred
- Driver’s License preferred
