Licensed Vocational Nurse - Clinic - Nursing Float Pool

Role Overview

This position provides patient care under supervision of physicians or registered nurses, following established standards and practices. Responsibilities include performing basic patient care tasks such as obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, collecting specimens (including phlebotomy), and assisting providers during examinations and procedures.

Key Duties

• Assist with patient flow and appointment scheduling, including test coordination and result management.
• Record patient information and support medication refills as directed.
• Administer medications and immunizations per provider orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and restock exam rooms, ensuring sterile techniques and adherence to protocols.
• Perform clerical tasks such as chart retrieval, filing, and completing routine forms.
• Answer phone calls, record messages, and support provider communication.
• Attend training and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate from an accredited practical/vocational nursing program.
• Licensed LVN in the state of employment or holding a compact license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to assist in clinical and clerical tasks.
