Licensed Vocational Nurse - Clinic Float Pool

About the role

This role provides patient care under the supervision of physicians or registered nurses, adhering to established standards and practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care tasks such as obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, and collecting specimens, including phlebotomy.
• Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures, and support patient flow.
• Answer and record phone messages, schedule tests, manage results, and assist with medication refills.
• Administer medications and immunizations as ordered.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and equipment, following sterile techniques and universal protocols.
• Complete clerical duties like chart retrieval, filing, and form completion.
• Attend meetings, training, and perform additional assigned duties.

Requirements

• Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the state of employment or a compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
