Licensed Vocational Nurse - Acute MedSurgical

About the Role

This position provides patient care under the supervision of physicians or registered nurses, adhering to established standards and practices. Responsibilities include performing basic patient care tasks, assisting providers with examinations and procedures, supporting patient flow, and managing communication through phone calls and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with medication refills, administer medications and immunizations per provider orders.
• Maintain sterile techniques, restock exam rooms, and clean equipment following policies.
• Perform routine clerical tasks like chart retrieval, filing, and form completion.
• Support scheduling, test results management, and pre-certification processes.
• Perform basic patient care tasks such as taking vital signs, weighing patients, and collecting specimens, including phlebotomy.
• Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Attend training sessions and perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
• Hold an active LVN license in the relevant state or a compact license.
• Maintain BLS certification.
