Certified Nursing Assistant - Acute MedSurgical

Role Overview

This position provides essential support in a nursing unit under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or licensed Nurse. It involves assisting with routine patient care activities, clerical tasks, and organizational duties to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, including preparing rooms and ensuring patient belongings accompany them.
• Transport stable patients safely while maintaining confidentiality and security.
• Perform unit-specific patient care tasks, monitor patient conditions, and promptly report changes to nursing staff.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and assist with inventory management.
• Respond to emergencies, phone calls, and patient call lights effectively.
• Support a safe, comfortable environment by replenishing linens, water, and towels, and assisting with unit errands.
• Adapt care methods to meet patients' physical, psychosocial, and developmental needs, demonstrating competence in assigned tasks.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Patient care experience in acute settings is preferred.
• Required Licenses/Certifications: CNA license and BLS certification.

Schedule

This is a full-time role requiring availability from 7AM to 7PM, focusing on supporting patient care and maintaining unit organization.
