The Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle, a Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner, is a 24-hour Emergency and Critical Care and Specialty hospital. We offer a collaborative approach to veterinary medicine and pride ourselves on providing compassionate medical care and exceptional client service.

Experience & Skills Requirements

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician required—LVT/RVT/CVT with 2 years of clinical experience preferred
  • Must have surgical, anesthesia, and dental experience

Role Responsibilities

  • Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients
  • Aid in maximizing productivity and maintaining positive patient flow
  • Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with state's Veterinary Practice Act
  • Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments
  • Aid in maintaining comprehensive medical records with support of practice systems
  • Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts
  • Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs
  • Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members

Compensation

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at $27-38/ hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
