Licensed Veterinary Technician - Part-Time - New York - East Village

We balance this design with a strong focus on technology, all built in-house, which means we can easily innovate our systems to improve the veterinary team, pet, and client experience.In July 2026, Bond Vet and Small Door Veterinary merged to build a more connected, accessible, and compassionate veterinary care experience across routine, primary, and urgent care. The combined organization will span more than 55 clinics across major Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest markets, serving over half a million pets. This role will play an important part in shaping the next chapter of our combined organization and advancing our shared mission to transform veterinary care.
Responsibilities
- Patient handling and husbandry
- Client education and partnership
- Surgical and dental nursing, including anesthesia management
- Diagnostic management and medication administration
- Emergency triage and response
- Detailed medical record keeping
- Run appointments alongside assistants
- Collaborate with veterinarians and nurses across the region
- Participate in monthly educational events
- Use innovative technology — including AI-assisted tools and the Apple Vision Pro — that reduce administrative burden and enhance patient care
Requirements
- 1+ year experience as a veterinary technician
- Newly licensed technicians encouraged to apply
- Must have independent unrestricted valid authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer
- Bond Vet does not sponsor employment-based visas for this position and cannot facilitate F-1 visa STEM OPT for this role
Qualifications
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) preferred
- CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT preferred
Pay
- Competitive Pay: $27 - $40 per hour (based on experience)
- Additional Compensation: Up to $8/hour Shift Differential
- Team-Based Profit Sharing Bonus: When your clinic exceeds its daily revenue goal, extra earnings go into a shared bonus pool distributed among the team (team members have earned up to an additional $250/month or more)
- Sign-On Bonus: Up to $5,000 for licensed technicians
