About the role
Noah's Ark Companion Animal Hospital is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician who is confident in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, placing IV catheters, drawing blood and running bloodwork, experienced in properly handling and restraining animals, knowledgeable about x-ray and positioning, understands the importance of client education, and is able to confidently dispense and administer medication prescribed by the veterinarian. This position is part of a motivated team that encourages continued learning and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Room patients, assist in surgical procedures, place IV catheters, draw blood and run bloodwork
- Handle and restrain animals professionally
- Understand and implement proper x-ray techniques and positioning
- Provide accurate and clear client education
- Dispense and administer medications prescribed by the veterinarian
- Collaborate effectively with the veterinary team
Requirements
- Current Registered Veterinary Technician license
- 2-3 years of veterinary experience
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
- Experience in handling and restraining animals
- Willingness to continue learning and growing professionally
