Licensed Veterinary Technician Manager - Dakota Veterinary Center - NY

About the role

Dakota Veterinary Center in White Plains, NY is seeking a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician Manager who can lead and develop the technician and veterinary assistant team while remaining hands-on with patient care. This role is ideal for an experienced LVT who naturally provides guidance, training, problem-solving, and support to the team and enjoys developing people, improving workflow, setting strong clinical standards, and jumping in alongside the team when needed.

Responsibilities

• Coaching, mentoring, and developing technicians and veterinary assistants
• Supporting onboarding and hands-on clinical training
• Creating clear expectations and accountability across the team
• Coordinating daily workflow, staffing, and patient care needs
• Helping technicians utilize and grow their clinical skills
• Maintaining strong medical, safety, and patient-care standards
• Improving efficiency and communication between our doctors and support team
• Supporting anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, treatments, and patient care
• Stepping onto the floor and working alongside your team when needed

Requirements

• Current New York State Veterinary Technician licensure
• Strong hands-on veterinary technician experience
• Leadership, supervisory, training, or mentorship experience
• Confidence with anesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing
• Experience with dentistry and dental radiography
• Strong venipuncture, IV catheter, laboratory, radiology, and patient-care skills
• The ability to coach others while also holding people accountable
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $35.00–$38.00 per hour, based on experience.
