Licensed Veterinary Technician - LVT

About the role

Lead the clinical care of animals at Uptown Animal Hospital & Urgent Care, focusing on providing high-quality medical and surgical services. Oversee the team to ensure efficient and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a variety of animal health issues, including complex surgical procedures.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on thorough patient evaluations.
• Collaborate with the hospital’s leadership to improve clinical practices and patient outcomes.
• Train and mentor veterinary assistants and technicians.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and hospital policies.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Washington State.
• At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in urgent care or emergency medicine.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems.
• Experience with anesthesia and surgical techniques.
