About the role
As a Veterinary Technician at Bay Pines Veterinary Clinic, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our animal patients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Veterinarian during routine patient appointments and surgical procedures with precision and compassion.
- Collecting and preserving laboratory samples, ensuring accurate documentation, and handling.
- Performing ultrasound examinations under the guidance of the attending Veterinarian, contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of our patients.
- Sharing your knowledge and expertise by mentoring and training junior staff members in basic veterinary functions.
- Ensuring cleanliness, sterilization, and proper storage of surgical equipment to maintain the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
- Collaborating with our Veterinarians to develop engaging training courses and educational materials for our staff members.

Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a formal veterinary technician program accredited by the American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVTB).
- Current certification from the National Registry of Veterinary Technicians (NRVT).
- Experience in a veterinary clinic setting preferred but not required.

Pay
Licensed Veterinary Technicians will receive a competitive salary range of $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Expected Hours: 35 – 40 per week (Ideally looking to fill four 10-hour shifts and one Saturday shift every 6 weeks)
