Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)

About the role

We are seeking an LVT with:

• Experience and Interest in Surgery: While prior experience is preferred, we are happy to mentor a new graduate for the right candidate.
• Exotics Experience (a Plus): If you enjoy working with exotic pets, we’d love to support your growth in this area.
• A commitment to providing evidence-based medicine and continuing education.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an LVT with:

• Assist veterinarians in surgical procedures.
• Administer medications and monitor patients’ vital signs.
• Perform diagnostic tests and record results accurately.
• Provide patient care, including routine check-ups and treatments.
• Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Current LVT license in good standing.
• Bachelor's degree in veterinary technology or related field.
• At least one year of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Experience in surgery or exotic animal care.
• Knowledge of evidence-based medicine and ongoing professional development.

Pay

$16/hour for new grads, $19+/hour for experienced LVTs (based on experience).

Schedule

Schedule options include:

• Four 10-hour shifts.
• Three full days and two half days, with rotating weekends.
