About the role

Inver Grove Heights Animal Hospital is an AAHA accredited practice serving mainly dogs and cats with some exotic and reptile patients. The hospital has been a community pillar for 38 years, offering a supportive environment, continuing education opportunities, an on‑site fitness room, multiple dental tables, surgical suites, and a registered AKC semen storage unit for reproduction services.

Responsibilities

• Place IV catheters and perform venipuncture
• Administer premedication, induce and monitor anesthesia
• Prepare patients for surgery and provide surgical and perioperative nursing care
• Conduct dental prophylactics
• Take radiographs
• Deliver outstanding client service and exceptional patient care
• Contribute to a positive, respectful, uplifting hospital culture

Requirements

• Credentialed veterinary technician (licensed/credentialed)
• Strong technical skills in the procedures listed above
• Surgery and anesthesia experience is a plus
• Commitment to outstanding client service and exceptional patient care
• Desire to make a difference and work in a supportive team environment

Pay

Competitive compensation: $22–$26 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Schedule

Four 10‑hour shifts per week; some weekend hours required. Urgent‑care hours available with shift‑pay differential.
