Licensed Veterinary Technician
About the role
Sheridan Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team!
This is an excellent opportunity for skilled technicians eager to fully utilize their surgical and anesthesia expertise while making a meaningful impact on patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care during surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs.
- Avoidance of distractions and maintaining a calm environment for both patients and clients.
- Ensure an efficient surgical and procedural workflow, anticipating the needs of the veterinary team and patients.
- Communicate with clients to review treatment plans, answer questions, and provide discharge instructions with empathy and clarity.
Requirements
- 3+ years of veterinary technician experience
- Active and good-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Michigan
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Surgical set up and assisting
- Anesthesia maintenance and monitoring
- Inpatient care
- Intubation
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail
Skills
- Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology
- Experience with veterinary software
- Basic knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology

- Compensation: $20-24 per hour, for each hour worked*
- Bonus package: $2,000
- CE allowance: Up to $1,000 annually based on tenure

Pay
Compensation: $20-24 per hour, for each hour worked*
Schedule
This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling and availability needed Monday-Friday. No weekends!
