Licensed Veterinary Technician

About the role

South Shores Animal Hospital is growing and seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for coordinating and executing treatment plans, assisting during exams, preparing patients for surgery, monitoring anesthesia, and collaborating closely with our doctors to complete dental procedures. Technicians also provide clear and compassionate client education, addressing questions with professionalism and confidence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with doctors to deliver exceptional patient care during both outpatient visits and procedures.
• Coordinate and execute treatment plans.
• Assist during exams.
• Prepare patients for surgery.
• Maintain anesthesia monitoring.
• Collaborate with doctors to complete dental procedures.
• Provide clear and compassionate client education.

Requirements

• Current Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Nevada.
• Proficiency in venipuncture & placing IV catheters.
• Administering injections.
• In house laboratory processing and microscopic evaluation.
• Anesthetic induction and monitoring.
• Dental experience is highly desired.

Qualifications

• Flexible full-time position, 4/10 schedule, rotating Saturdays.
• Full-time benefits and compensation: $25-29 per hour, bonus package of $2000, CE allowance of up to $1,000 annually, health package including medical, dental, and vision insurance with HSA option, life insurance, disability, and 401k options, employee assistance program, paid time off, personal pet discount.

Pay

Schedule

This is a flexible full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed for rotating Saturdays.
