About the role

The Virginia Beach SPCA (VBSPCA) Veterinary Clinic is a full-service clinic that focuses on high-volume spay/neuter, dental procedures, specialty surgeries, and routine veterinary care. Our clinic also operates the VBSPCA Neuter Scooter, a mobile spay/neuter vehicle and the VBSPCA Wellness Clinic that focuses on routine vaccination care.

Responsibilities

• Support the lifesaving and life improving work we accomplish for the Hampton Roads communities.
• Contribute to the high-volume spay/neuter and dental procedures.
• Participate in specialty surgeries and routine veterinary care.
• Operate the VBSPCA Neuter Scooter and the VBSPCA Wellness Clinic.
• Collaborate with other veterinary professionals to ensure the best care for our patients.

Requirements

• Active LVT licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Full-Time positions are 34-40 hours a week with dynamic scheduling.
• This position can be scheduled at our Main Clinic, our Mobile Veterinary Unit, or at our Wellness Clinic.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical skills and knowledge in veterinary medicine.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with spay/neuter procedures and routine veterinary care.

Skills

• Proficiency in spay/neuter procedures.
• Knowledge of dental procedures.
• Experience with specialty surgeries.
• Ability to operate mobile spay/neuter vehicles.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Pay

$26 - $28 an hour based on experience and skill.

Schedule

Full-Time positions are 34-40 hours a week with dynamic scheduling. This position can be scheduled at our Main Clinic, our Mobile Veterinary Unit, or at our Wellness Clinic.

Benefits

We are offering a $1,500 sign-on bonus for our newly hired LVTs. Sign-on bonuses will be paid out at $500 after 90 days and at $1,000 at your one year anniversary milestone.
