About the role

The Animal Cardiology Center (TACC) is a new, purpose-built standalone Cardiology specialty provider in Westchester County. Led by board-certified veterinary cardiologists Dr. Justin Carlson & Dr. Kelly Flynn, our specialty team combines cutting-edge diagnostics with compassionate, personalized treatment. TACC is committed to transforming the veterinary profession's culture of burnout into a happier, healthier place.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the team, maintaining organization and professionalism
• Communicate effectively with veterinarians, practice manager, and clinical team members
• Ensure accurate, efficient, and timely completion of daily clinical duties and responsibilities
• Facilitate communication between doctors, practice manager, and clinical team members
• Perform all duties of a licensed veterinary technician
• Participate in advanced history taking
• Conduct advanced imaging, including echocardiograms
• Perform physical examinations and patient assessments
• Round with the doctor on cases using learned cardiology knowledge
• Provide consistent compassionate care for patients
• Opportunity to train under the cardiologist and join the mobile TACC team

Requirements

• Licensed in NY State
• 2+ years’ experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician in GP, Emergency, or Specialty
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong people and organizational skills
• Ability to resolve conflict
• Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited college or university

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable working with all types of animals
• Ability to lift 40 lbs
• Capable of moving patients from carrier/floor to exam table
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
