About the role

This is a full-time, on-site Licensed Veterinary Technician role based in Seattle, WA.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care by assisting veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, anesthesia, and surgical procedures.
  • Daily responsibilities include preparing and monitoring patients, administering medications and vaccinations as directed, performing laboratory tests, and maintaining accurate medical records.
  • Communicate clearly with pet parents about patient status, discharge instructions, and preventative care, while contributing to a calm, compassionate environment for patients and clients.
  • Support hospital operations by maintaining clean and safe treatment areas, managing inventory of medical supplies, and collaborating closely with the veterinary team to ensure efficient, team-centered care.

Qualifications

  • Active veterinary technician license (LVT or equivalent) in Washington State, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Demonstrated skills in patient care and clinical procedures, including restraint, sample collection, medication administration, and anesthesia monitoring.
  • Experience assisting in surgery and dentistry, with strong attention to aseptic technique and patient safety.
  • Proficiency with veterinary practice software, medical record documentation, and basic laboratory diagnostics.
  • Strong communication and client service skills, with the ability to explain medical information clearly and empathetically.
  • Able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary veterinary team and contribute to a supportive, inclusive workplace culture.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, openness to mentorship, and interest in learning advanced clinical skills.
  • Able to stand for extended periods, lift and handle animals safely, and follow all hospital safety and infection control protocols.
  • Previous experience in small animal general practice, emergency, or specialty care is beneficial.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited veterinary technology program preferred.
