Licensed Veterinary Technician

About the role

Cat Care Clinic is a feline-exclusive clinic located at 1105 Bellevue Way NE, Bellevue, WA 98004. We provide comprehensive care for cats, including exams, laboratory testing, radiology, surgery, and boarding. Our clinic is open Monday through Saturday, and cat boarding is available every day of the year. We have a strong relationship with our clients and a team of dedicated doctors and assistants.

Responsibilities

• Aid veterinarians in examinations and treatments for cats
• Maintain medical records and prepare reports for veterinarians
• Support surgical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring for feline patients
• Perform dental radiographs and prophylaxis
• Operate in-house laboratory equipment and veterinary medical record management software
• Provide excellent customer service and manage time effectively
• Collaborate with the practice manager to develop and implement educational programs and new operational techniques
• Train and support other team members in adopting new technologies and procedures
• Maintain current knowledge of veterinary medicine and practice management trends

Requirements

• Current licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of WA, or eligible to obtain within 3 months of hire
• At least 2 years of experience as a credentialed veterinary technician
• AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology degree preferred, but not required

Qualifications

• Experience with feline-specific care and handling
• Ability to remain calm and professional with fractious cats
• Proficiency in ultrasound-guided cystocentesis and digital radiography
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Benefits

Full-time employees receive a sign-on bonus of $1,000, a CE allowance of $500, and a $500 downtown Bellevue parking allowance. Additionally, full-time employees enjoy a four-day workweek, including occasional Saturdays, with 35-40 hours per week. Benefits include:
