About the role

Lewiston Veterinary Clinic is seeking a credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our team. We are a group of highly trained, experienced animal lovers who are dedicated to providing the best care possible for our patients in Lewiston and the surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients
• Assisting in surgery
• Placing IV catheters
• Drawing blood and running bloodwork
• Experienced in properly handling and restraining animals
• Knowledge of x-ray and positioning
• Understanding the importance of client education
• Confidently and comfortably dispensing and administering medication prescribed by the veterinarian
• Being a positive and supportive team member

Requirements

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician, license must be current in the state of Minnesota
• 2+ years of prior veterinary experience
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
• Credentialing and certification preferred
• Confidently and comfortably restrain animals
• Knowledge of surgical prep, monitoring, and recovery
• Compassionate and caring toward our clients and their pets
• Able to lift over 50 pounds
• Multi-task efficiently
• Understand the importance of client education
• Positive and supportive team member

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current licensure as a Veterinary Technician in the state of Minnesota
• Experience in a veterinary setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
