Aiken Animal Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our friendly, client-focused team. We are a well-equipped, fast-paced small animal practice that values compassionate care, teamwork, and a positive work environment.

$21 - $25 per hour, based on experience.

Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday: 7:45 AM – 6:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday: Closed
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to hospitalized patients.
- Perform venipuncture, place IV catheters, collect laboratory samples, and run in-house diagnostics.
- Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery.
- Utilize Fear Free handling techniques and advocate for patient comfort.
- Safely restrain dogs and cats.
- Educate clients on preventive care, medications, and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records and support a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential or eligible for licensure in South Carolina.
- Client-focused with excellent communication skills.
- Team-oriented and compassionate.
- Comfortable handling and restraining dogs and cats.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience with anesthesia, dentistry, and laboratory procedures is preferred but not required.

What You'll Bring To The Team
- Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
- A current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
- Proficiency in a range of technical skills, including nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.
- A calm and efficient approach, especially in fast-paced or stressful situations.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively.
- One year of experience in the veterinary industry is preferred.
