Job Summary
The mission of the Department of Corrections is to be a public safety resource for Arkansas families by providing professional management solutions and evidence-based rehabilitative initiatives for offenders.
Primary Responsibilities
- A minimum of 2 years laying down vapor barriers, rigid insulation, and multiple layers of roofing paper or membrane.
- Applying specialized commercial materials such as Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO), Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM), built-up roofing (BUR), or modified bitumen.
- Operating trade-specific tools, including heat welders for membranes, hot asphalt mops, and power tools.
- Cutting and fitting materials to seamlessly seal around roof penetrations, vents, and HVAC units.
Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in one or more skilled trades.
Licensure/Certifications
- A commercial roofing certification is required.
