Job Description
This is a clinical position where the incumbent is held to high professional standards. The person occupying this contracted position will provide individual, family and/or group therapy sessions to assigned consumers on a case load; provide case management as needed and provide detailed documentations of all clinical activities. The individual is to be supervised by the Program Director. The incumbent will have a current valid New Jersey License; LSW /LCSW /LPC/LMFT Must be licensed* as one of the following: professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, academy of certified social workers, licensed social worker, and/or licensed clinical social workers. Licensed clinicians, as defined above, will not be required to demonstrate coursework.
Essential & Core Functions
- Completes bio-psychological assessments for the assigned consumer(s)
- Develops comprehensive treatment plans that are goal directed, measurable, and achievable
- Provides individual/family and/or group therapy sessions to assigned consumers based on weekly productivity requirements
- Evaluates individual consumer needs, interests, and response to treatment
- When applicable, recommends and makes appropriate referrals to programs within and outside the Agency; completes all program documentation forms including incident reports
- Attends all scheduled supervision sessions with the immediate supervisor or designee
- Attends case conferences as needed
- Attends meetings and seminar-trainings as required by the supervisor
Prerequisites & Qualifications for the Position
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or any other area of Human Services
- Must be Licensed: LSW/ LCSW/ LPC/ LMFT. License must be current and valid
- Minimum of two years' experience counseling in the mental health, IDD or substance use field
- Have professional liability insurance with respect to services provided. The amounts of the policy shall be no less than $1 million each occurrence with a $3 million aggregate, if applicable. All costs in connection with such insurance shall be paid by the incumbent
- Valid FBI clearance, criminal history check and child abuse history clearance required
- Experience working within an electronic medical records system
