Licensed Therapeutic Counselor

About the role

NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans.

Responsibilities

• Provides assessments in the areas of mental status, personality, behavioral response patterns, relationships, and family interactions.
• Provides individual counseling and support services and family psychotherapy as appropriate to training and program participant needs.
• Facilitates/co-facilitates counseling groups.
• Participates in treatment planning with a trans-disciplinary team.
• Consults with staff, insurance provider, family, etc. about treatment recommendations and progress.
• SUBMIT SERVICE SUMMARIES AND BILLING SLIPS FOR EACH PROGRAM PARTICIPANT SERVED, INDICATING OBJECTIVES, STRATEGIES, AND OUTCOMES OBTAINED.
• Completes daily billing summaries and turns them in to appropriate staff.
• ATTENDS CCS IN-HOUSE SEMINARS AS SCHEDULED AND/OR APPROPRIATE.
• ATTENDS WEEKLY DISCIPLINE MEETING AND MEETINGS WITH SUPERVISOR(S) AS NECESSARY.
• ENSURES EVALUATION, PROGRESS, AND DISCHARGE REPORTS ON EACH PROGRAM PARTICIPANT ARE COMPLETED IN A TIMELY MANNER.
• ENSURES ADHERENCE TO ACCREDITATION STANDARDS AND ETHICS OF CONFIDENTIALITY.
• PURSUANTS APPROPRIATE SUPERVISION AND IN-HOUSE ACTIVITIES FOR PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS AS NEEDED.
• ACTIVELY PARTICIPATES IN CRISIS INTERVENTION SYSTEM (BEeper TEAM).
• PERFORMS OTHER RELATED DUTIES AND ACTIVITIES AS REQUIRED.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a human services field
• Two years of experience
