About the role

Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is a nationally ranked academic, quaternary-care system based in Chicago’s western suburbs. Anchored by Loyola University Medical Center, we form a comprehensive three-hospital network that includes Loyola University Medical Center, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, and MacNeal Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Work in a clinical setting as a physician extender within a University Sports Medicine Program.
• Responsibilities include patient evaluation, education, rehabilitation planning, vitals, phlebotomy, injections, injury prevention, treatment, and equipment fitting.
• Supports physicians during outreach events and provides athletic training services to affiliated schools per NATA guidelines.
• Contributes to program growth through marketing, educational material development, and wellness event coordination.
• Ensures patient satisfaction, helps families navigate the system, and collaborates with program directors and providers.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: Required: Bachelors Degree Preferred: Masters Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education Specify Degree(s): Athletic Training and Certification
• Minimum Experience Required: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience Preferred: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience
• Licensure/Certifications Required: Licensed/Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
• Other: First Aid
• Phlebotomy Certification (will train if necessary)
