Key Responsibilities
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and diagnostic assessments for students suspected of having speech, language, voice, fluency, or communication disorders.
- Interpret assessment data and prepare clear, actionable reports for IEP teams.
- Participate in eligibility determinations in compliance with IDEA and state regulations.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with students' IEP goals.
- Provide direct and indirect speech language services in a variety of settings (individual, small group, classroom-based).
- Use evidence-based practices to support articulation, language development, fluency, voice, and social communication skills.
- Serve as a key member of the IEP team, contributing expertise in communication development.
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and support staff to integrate communication strategies into classroom instruction.
- Provide guidance to families on supporting communication skills at home.
Required Qualifications
- A valid Mississippi 215 Endorsement (Speech-Language Pathologist).
- A Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure and/or ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCSLP) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of child development, communication disorders, and school-based service delivery.
