Licensed Salon Manager

About the role

We are seeking a professional Salon Manager to lead a high-performing, sports-themed hair salon located next to Starbucks on Constant Friendship Rd in Abingdon, MD. This role involves overseeing daily operations, supporting and developing stylists, and creating a positive, team-focused salon culture while running the business with confidence and integrity.

Our clientele appreciates our focus on men and boys in a sports-themed environment. The role does not involve working with chemicals, curling irons, or blow dryers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach your team to deliver excellent client experiences
• Handle scheduling, training, inventory, and team development
• Support and hold your team accountable for performance and goals
• Lead by example and promote Sport Clips values

Requirements

• Current Maryland cosmetology or barber license
• 2+ years of salon experience
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
• Passion for styling hair and focus on team development
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends

Pay

Managers typically earn $32–$45 per hour, including hourly pay, tips, commission, and performance bonuses. This translates to an annual range of $67,000–$94,000 for managers at similar locations. A sign-on bonus of $1,500 is currently offered.
