Responsibilities
- Conducts psychological assessments, provides therapy, and develops treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
- Collaborates with facility staff to ensure effective care and support for patients in correctional settings.
- Delivers clinical and consultation services in line with APA, NCCHC, and ACA standards, including diagnosis, treatment, psychological testing, evaluations, treatment planning, counseling, and crisis management under the supervision of a licensed psychologist.
- Ensures adherence to ethical and professional standards, participates in case staffing, care management meetings, and quality improvement activities.
- Maintains professional and timely clinical documentation, develops goals and objectives for clinical services in consultation with supervisors, and delivers staff training on mental health issues.
- Participates in a 24-hour crisis intervention system, promptly notifies the supervising Psychologist of serious incidents, and provides timely updates on clinical concerns impacting clients or the mental health services program.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in psychology.
- Experience with mental health delivery systems.
- Knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders and psychological evaluation techniques, including psychological assessment instruments.
- Licensed as a Licensed Psychological Associate in the state of Kentucky.
