Licensed Psychiatric Technicians - LPT, LVN

LVN and LPT Sierra Health and Wellness uses evidence-based methods to accomplish the restoration of families, relationships, and self-worth. Sierra Health and Wellness is a California network of leading behavioral health and rehab centers for adults and families who suffer from addiction to alcohol, opiates, amphetamines and other addictive substances. Not all services are available at all offices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day delivery of patient care.
• Provides outstanding, individualized resident care and medical support to clients as needed.
• Prepare and review medical records and nurses' notes to evaluate the resident's physical and emotional status.
• Provide care according to the Physician's orders, care plans, established standards, policies and procedures.
• Prepare and monitor patient administered medications as ordered by the physician in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies.
• Monitors and reports adverse reactions to medications and treatment to the RN and/or Physician.
• Sign, date and perform all charting, record keeping and care plans in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Utilizes good infection control procedures.
• Utilizes behavioral management and crisis intervention techniques.
• Ensures compliance with State licensing standards and accreditation standards.
• Adheres to and upholds the policies and procedures of the company.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions.
• Provide client assistance in crisis intervention situations.
• Maintains EMR.
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists.

Requirements

• Current Psychiatric Technician (PT) license or LVN
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Qualifications

• Current Psychiatric Technician (PT) license
• Possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Familiar with HIPAA/client confidentiality and personal rights.
• Possess CPR/First Aid certification.
• Current TB test and health screen.
• Work Authorization/security Clearance Requirements.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Full-time & Part-time: AM, PM, &PM

Pay

Hourly: $36.00-$44.54. The posted pay range is a reasonable estimate that the organization believes in good faith it may pay for this particular job based on the circumstances at the time of posting. This pay range is not a promise of a particular wage. Pay may consider several factors including but not limited to internal equity, experience, specialty, training, hours/shifts worked, business need, and education. Pay ranges may be adjusted in the future depending upon many factors including business needs.
