Licensed Practical Nurse - Primary Care

Responsibilities

• Providing a friendly, welcoming, and confidential environment for our Veterans who have served our country valiantly.
• Ensuring the health and well-being of our nation's Veterans.
• Interviewing patients.
• Measuring vital signs.
• Recording information in patient’s electronic medical record.
• Obtaining medical histories from patients; verifying patient information.
• Preparing, assisting, and accurately completing all forms.
• Administering medications and operating diagnostic equipment.
• Assisting providers during examinations and treatment.
• Taking vital signs and performing all ancillary tests appropriate to skill level, certifications, and state regulations.
• Performing ancillary testing and tasks as ordered by the Center Medical Director (PFT, EKG, injections, audiograms, blood draws, etc.) and as certified.
• Collecting lab specimens from patients and submitting received results to medical providers.
• Completing all clinical reminders.
• Answering and returning patient telephone calls, messages, and alerts.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Graduate of an accredited certificate program
• Current and active state Nursing License
• One year of continuous experience in clinical operations preferred/New Grads welcome!
• Knowledge of computer systems to include the MS Office Suite
• Current Basic Life Support for providers certification from The American Heart Association

Schedule

Office hours are Mon - Fri 8am to 4:30pm. This is a telehealth and back office position. This is a Full - Time position on site 5 days per week.
