Licensed Practical Nurse - Plastic Surgery
Founded in 1921, Straub Benioff Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i. With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular and urology. Straub is home to the Pacific Region’s only multidisciplinary burn treatment center and consistently brings new technologies and innovative medical practices to Hawai'i.
About the role
As the Licensed Practical Nurse in our Plastic Surgery department, you will help provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients and their families. You will assist physicians in delivering care to patients of all ages, with a focus on warm, sensitive patient communication and a commitment to the highest standards of healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians in providing care to patients of all ages in the Plastic Surgery department.
- Support the treatment of facial wrinkles and blemishes, aging face, body sculpting, eyelid surgeries, ear surgery, and spider veins.
- Counsel patients to help them choose procedures that best suit their long-term health.
Requirements
- Current Hawai’i Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) year of recent Licensed Practical Nurse experience.
- Knowledge of CPT/ICD-9 Coding.
- Experience with online medical software systems.
Pay
Pay range: $32.82 - $34.55 USD per hour. Rate of pay will be determined by factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, relevant experience, training, and internal peer equity.
Schedule
- Full-time regular position (FTE: 1.0).
- Day shift, 8-hour work schedule.
Location: Straub Benioff Medical Center, Honolulu.
