About the Role

This position provides professional-level nursing services at the South Dakota Developmental Center, requiring the application of basic nursing principles, practices, and techniques following established healthcare procedures and standards. Employees in this role operate in a patient care environment focused on the healthcare of individuals.

Looking for a meaningful career with schedule flexibility? These positions work 36 hours per week—12-hour shifts. Shifts can vary with rotating weekends and holidays. Shift differential is offered for evening and overnight hours.

Hiring incentives: $3,200 for RN positions and $2,200 for LPN positions.

Pay

RN: $34.26 - $40.16 per hour
LPN: $26.52 - $31.13 per hour
Additional pay: $2.00/hour for shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. and $1.00/hour on weekends.

Schedule

36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.

Licenses and Certifications

Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse in South Dakota (associate degree, bachelor's degree, or 3-year diploma). All certificates and/or tests required for performance at this level must be obtained and/or completed.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience working with adolescents or adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities or an educational background in psychology, sociology, counseling, or a related field.
