Licensed Practical Nurse - Med Surg

About the role

Provides compassionate, patient-centered care under the supervision of a licensed provider or Registered Nurse (RN), utilizing the nursing process to support assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to promote safe, high-quality patient outcomes while maintaining patient rights, confidentiality, and professional accountability.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admissions and discharges
• Performs patient assessments and documents findings
• Administers medications and treatments as delegated
• Provides patient and family education
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation
• Participates in care coordination and discharge planning
• Ensures a safe and clean environment for patients

Qualifications

• Current nursing license in the state of practice
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
