About the role
Reports to the Operations Manager or Team Leader. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides clinical support to physicians and mid-level providers, delivers patient instructions as directed, and ensures compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations. The role is essential to smooth business operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care by giving clear directions, addressing concerns about exams, and documenting accurately in patient charts.
- Ensure completion of all forms vital to the revenue cycle (e.g., verification/clarification of orders, waivers for non-covered services, encounter forms).
- Provide instructions to patients under the direction of providers.
- Maintain complete and accurate information in patient charts.
- Maintain adequate supplies in exam rooms and workstations.
- Clean and disinfect exam rooms; perform cleaning, maintenance, and/or sterilization of equipment and instruments.
- Report malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate supervisor.
- Ensure OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA compliance.
- Assist with patient requests, including completion of referral processes, outpatient test scheduling, and precertification.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing/distribution of all patient information.
- Interact with the Central Billing Office to resolve patient issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Active, unencumbered multistate (compact) LPN nursing license issued by a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state (Kentucky, Indiana, or Ohio).
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- 6 months to 1 year of experience preferred.

- Strong organizational skills and professional demeanor when working with doctors, hospital administration, management, employees, and the public.

- Experience in planning and coordinating multi-disciplinary communications strategies, strategic initiatives, and events.
