Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Vascular Surgery

Regular, full-time position (40 scheduled hours per week).

About the role

Reports to the Operations Manager or Team Leader. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides clinical support to physicians and mid-level providers, delivers patient instructions as directed, and ensures compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations. The role is essential to smooth business operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by giving clear directions, addressing concerns about exams, and documenting accurately in patient charts.
• Ensure completion of all forms vital to the revenue cycle (e.g., verification/clarification of orders, waivers for non-covered services, encounter forms).
• Provide instructions to patients under the direction of providers.
• Maintain complete and accurate information in patient charts.
• Maintain adequate supplies in exam rooms and workstations.
• Clean and disinfect exam rooms; perform cleaning, maintenance, and/or sterilization of equipment and instruments.
• Report malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate supervisor.
• Ensure OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with patient requests, including completion of referral processes, outpatient test scheduling, and precertification.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing/distribution of all patient information.
• Interact with the Central Billing Office to resolve patient issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered multistate (compact) LPN nursing license issued by a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state (Kentucky, Indiana, or Ohio).
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 6 months to 1 year of experience preferred.
