Requirements

• Completion of an approved practical nursing program
• Licensure in the state
• Knowledge of nursing principles, medical terminology, and medication effects
• Ability to react effectively in emergencies
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to establish cooperative relationships
• Physical ability to perform tasks requiring standing, lifting, and moving residents
