About the role
Deliver licensed practical nursing care within the LPN scope of practice, as defined by the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act, for residents. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to promote the well-being, health and safety of residents in a person-centered, long term care environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide licensed practical nursing care to residents in accordance with the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote resident well-being, health, and safety
- Complete electronic charting in PointClickCare
- Communicate effectively, follow instructions, and maintain clear and accurate notes and documentation
Minimum qualifications
- Licensed in Minnesota as a Practical Nurse with no restrictions, and in good standing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, or ability to be certified by date of hire
- Computer skills sufficient to complete electronic charting, specifically in PointClickCare
- Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and keep clear and accurate notes and documentation
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility, long term care or other senior healthcare environment
- Experience working with Veterans
- Effective interpersonal skills in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships
Pay
$28.01 - $35.83 per hour, plus $2.25 per hour shift differential for all hours worked after 6:00pm and before 6:00am.
Schedule
Part-time position with rotating shifts: Day (7:00am-3:30pm) and Evening (3:00pm-11:30pm). Work schedule includes at least 64 hours per two-week pay period and may include additional work hours based on business needs. Days vary; weekends as assigned.

Additional requirements
- Successful completion of a Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background check
