Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Full-time, Day and Evening Shifts
About the role
The Minnesota Veterans Home in Minneapolis seeks licensed practical nurses (LPNs) to provide compassionate, person-centered care in a long-term nursing facility. The ideal candidate will assist with activities of daily living, ensure safety, and help residents achieve their highest functional capabilities.

Requirements
- Licensed in Minnesota as a Practical Nurse with no restrictions
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Computer skills for electronic charting
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or other senior healthcare environment
- Experience working with Veterans
- Effective interpersonal skills in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to document and maintain accurate records
- Knowledge of nursing procedures and protocols

Pay
$28.01- $35.83/ hourly; $58,485 - $74,813/ annually / PLUS $2.25/hour shift differential for all hours worked after 6:00pm and before 6:00am
Schedule
Shifts to choose from include: Day Shift (6:30am-3:00pm) or Evening Shift (2:30pm-11:00pm)
Additional Information
This position also requires successful completion of a Tuberculosis (Mantoux) screening (or chest x-ray) and a Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background check.
