About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides care and directs the staff to follow the resident plan of care as determined by the Head Nurse. A day in the life includes providing preventative and restorative care to all residents and clients, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and supported in all aspects of their lives.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, assign, and evaluate the work performance of LNA’s on the unit assigned
  • Identify any educational opportunities
  • Perform and sign drug counts at the change of shift
  • Assess, identify, and report any changes in resident status
  • Assume responsibility for all aspects of care related to admissions, transfers, or discharges
  • Follow all established safety and infection control policies/procedures
  • Oversee all documentation/reporting in accordance with Rockingham County policy standards and State/Federal requirements

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Maintain a current, valid, unencumbered New Hampshire LPN license
  • Three (3) years of Long Term Care (or equivalent) experience preferred
  • CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS) certified
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems

Qualifications

  • Available Part-time Schedules: 32 Hours/Week, 72 Hours Bi-Weekly
  • Shift Differential: 2nd Shift: $4.00/hour, 3rd Shift: $5.00/hour, Weekend Premium: $2.00/hour

  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
